1" O.D alumina tube can be used at operating temperature up to 1700 oC in both oxidizing and reducing atmospheres. Tubes have been evacuated to 10-7 Torr. It proves inert for carbon and refractory metals in many severe situations.

  • Al2O3 > 99%, SiO2 < 0.25%, CaO+MgO < 0.3%

  • 1" ± 0.05 (25 mm)

  • 3/4" ± 0.05 (20 mm)
Tube Length
  • 480 mm 
Warning
  • Do NOT use an alumina tube under a vacuum at a temperature > 1500 °C for a 1-3" tube, and < 1200 °C for a 3.15- 4“ tube
  • Gas pressure shall be < 200 ccm
  • Max heating or cooling rate < 5°C/ minute.
  • Please keep the thermal gradient less than 100°C/ inch to avoid cracking in the multi-zone tube furnace
  • Please use a crucible to separate parts from the inside surface of the tube to avoid thermal shock.
  • Please handle the tube carefully. No warranty for the tube.
Application Notes
  • To get longer tube service life, please use a quartz or alumina crucible to carry the sample, instead of loading the sample directly inside the tube, please click here to choose a crucible boat
