  • Molybdenum sheath
  • Ungrounded hot junction
  • 16" alumina insulation towards termination
  • Termination is a standard temperature and standard size male plug (round pins)

Sheath Material
  • Molybdenum  (must be used under high vacuum) 
  • 1/2" of Hafnia insulation at the hot end
Positive Material
  • Tungsten-5% Rhenium
Negative Material
  • Tungsten-26% Rhenium
Lowest Working Temperature
  • 1000 °C (under vacuum)
Highest Working Temperature
  • 2300 °C (under vacuum or Ar gas )
Minimum Std. Error
  • +/-  FS 2%

Application Notes
  • C type thermocouple must be used under high vacuum or Ar gas
  • Compensation wire is required for the connection to temperature controller
  • The thermocouple is not bendable
