The MSK-TE903-AC Dual Explosion-Proof Steel Box with Temperature Controlled Atmosphere provides a safe enclosure for over-charging & forced discharging of all kinds of battery cell testings based on the UN38.3 standard (38.3.4.7 & 38.3.4.8) with a controlled temperature range of 23 °C - 46 °C. The two separate compartments with a total of 4 feedthrough ports allow for the testings of multiple batteries at the same time. One feedthrough required for air conditioning unit to regulate temperature.

Structure & Material





  • Materials:
    • Chamber: 1.5 mm thick brushed SS304 with tensile strength > 500 Mpa
    • Exterior: 3 mm thickness cold rolled steel with tensile strength > 400 Mpa
  • Structure: Two anti-explosion chambers, top and bottom
  • Chamber Size: 500mm x 500mm x 500mm (x2)
  • Testing Cables: One pair of clamps with 3 meter long cables installed inside on each chamber to connect batteries rated at 30A max.
  • Ports: Each chamber has two 2" diameter holes reserved for electric cables of battery testing equipment
  • Safety door: The pressure relief door is built on the back of each chamber. In the event of a battery explosion, the door will open and release pressure. 

  • Note: The max. capacity of Li-Ion batteries to be tested in the chamber should be limited to 4.2V@ 40Ah for single-cell or 160Wh for battery pack without protection circus

Venting Fan

  • A venting port with high-quality exhaust fan is installed in the back chamber which shall be connected to your venting system. (ducting and exhaust system are not included )
  • Warning: Must keep the venting fan and exhaust system running during battery testing to avoid pressure build-up in the case of a battery explosion.
  • Venting fan: 24 VDC, 3425 RPM, 235 CFM, 54.3 dBA
  • Centrifugal in-line exhaust fan with aluminum flex duct connection is recommended but not included.

Temperature Controlling

  • A spot cooling conditioner and a spot heater are included for controlling the chamber temperature between 23°C - 46°C 

Remote Control

  • A wireless hand-held remote controller can operate the machine within 10 meters distance for safe operation.

Lighting

  • Anti-explosion LED light (30W) is installed inside of each chamber. 
  • The angle of illumination is adjustable up to 90°

Electrode Holder & Cables

  • Two sets of battery electrode clamps with 10 AWG gauge cables (30A Max.) are included for easy & quick connections to batteries

Mobility 

  • Four mobile wheels are installed at the bottom for easy transportation
