OTF-1200X-III-HP-VT is a three-heating zone (900 mm L) vertical fluidized bed furnace with 1200°C max (1100°C continuous) working temperature and two 60mm dia. processing tubes, which can be used to test catalysts for methane reforming (hydrogen and syngas production) and Fisher-Tropsch (hydrocarbons synthesis) reactions.

Heating Furnace

  • Vertical split door design for easy installation of tube
  • Separated temperature control unit

Gas Pre-heating Furnace 
 
  • Gas Pre-heating Furnace provides heated gas to processing vessels via 316L SS tube

  • Max. Working Temperature: 700°C ( Max. pressure at this temperature: ≤ 2.5 MPa)
  • Length of Heating Tube: Ø 25 x 700 mm (spiral shape)
Processing Tube
  • Two types of processing tubes and flanges are included: 
  • Quartz Tube: Ø 60 O.D. x Ø 52 I.D. x 1400 L (mm)
    • Frits with forced convection design can trap the particles within the central heating area (Pic.1&2)
    • One mechanical pressure gauge is pre-installed on the top flange
  • Nickel Base Super Alloy Tube with CF60 flange: Ø 60 O.D. x Ø 50 I.D. x 1400 L, mm
    • One pressure transmitter is pre-installed on the top flange.
    • The bottom flange is equipped with a 50-mesh air distribution plate (Pic.3)
    • The pressure inside the alloy tube will be varied by the change of the temperature:
    • Temperature ≤ 800ºC, Pressure: ≤ 2.5 MPa
    • Temperature ≤ 900ºC, Pressure: ≤ 2 MPa
    • Temperature ≤ 1000ºC, Pressure: ≤ 1.5 MPa
    • Temperature ≤ 1100ºC, Pressure: ≤ 1 MPa
  • The pre-installed safety relief valve will turn on automatically once the pressure exceeds the safety range.
  • A KF25 port on the bottom flange to connect with a vacuum pump.

Temperature Controller

  • Three digital temperature controllers are installed to control three heating zones independently
  • 50 programmable segments for precise control of heating rate, cooling rate, and dwell time.
  • Built-in PID Auto-Tune function with overheating & broken thermocouple protection.
  • Over-temperature protection and alarm allow for operation without attendant(s).
  • +/- 1 ºC temperature accuracy.
  • Eurotherm 3000 precision temperature controller is optional with +/- 0.1ºC accuracy

Optional Vacuum Pump

  • The vacuum pump is not included in the standard, please click here to order a vacuum pump separately.

Laptop & software (Optional)

  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2013 (30 days free trial) 
  • Labview Based Temperature Control System (MTS01)enables the user to edit temperature profiles, manage heat-treatment recipes, and record and plot data for MTI furnaces.
